Google has reached a historic financial milestone. During its Q4 2025 earnings call, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed that the company crossed $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time, marking a 15 percent year-on-year growth.
The achievement comes amid Google’s aggressive push into artificial intelligence, alongside rising demand across search, YouTube, cloud services, and enterprise AI offerings. Here are the five biggest takeaways from Google’s Q4 2025 earnings announcement.
1. Google’s Q4 2025 Numbers Show Strong Momentum
For the fourth quarter of 2025, Google reported $113.8 billion in revenue, reflecting an 18 percent YoY increase.
Key highlights include:
- Search revenue grew 17 percent YoY
- YouTube annual revenue crossed $60 billion from ads and subscriptions
- Google now has 325 million paid subscriptions across consumer services
- Over 8 million paid seats of Gemini Enterprise were sold within four months of launch
Looking ahead, Google expects 2026 capital expenditure (CapEx) to range between $175 billion and $185 billion, underlining continued investment in AI infrastructure.
2. Gemini AI Emerges as a Major Growth Engine
Pichai called the launch of Gemini 3 a defining milestone for the company in Q4.
According to Google:
- The Gemini app now has over 750 million monthly active users
- User engagement rose sharply after the Gemini 3 rollout in December
- Gemini 3 Pro processes nearly three times more daily tokens than Gemini 2.5 Pro
Meanwhile, Google’s AI development platform Antigravity, launched in Q4 2025, has already crossed 1.5 million weekly active users.
3. Full-Stack AI Infrastructure Helps Cut Costs
Google continues to leverage its end-to-end AI stack, spanning custom TPUs, in-house data centres, proprietary AI models, and wide distribution via Android, Pixel devices, and enterprise services.
During the call, Pichai confirmed that Google has:
- Expanded compute capacity by adding Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs
- Announced plans to acquire Intersect, a data centre and energy infrastructure firm
As a result of efficiency improvements and model optimisation, Google said it reduced Gemini serving costs by 78 percent in 2025.
4. YouTube Remains a Revenue Powerhouse
With more than $60 billion in annual revenue, YouTube continues to strengthen its position in the global streaming market.
Pichai highlighted:
- Strong growth in YouTube Premium and Music Premium subscriptions
- Upcoming YouTube TV plans, including 10 genre-based packages
Podcast consumption also surged, with viewers watching over 700 million hours of podcasts on living-room devices in October 2025 alone — a 75 percent YoY increase. Additionally, more than 20 million users tried YouTube’s Gemini-powered Ask feature during the same month.
5. Google Cloud Sees Accelerating AI Adoption
Google Cloud posted growth across revenue, operating margin, and backlog in Q4 2025.
Key updates include:
- Over $1 billion in cloud deals signed in 2025, exceeding the combined total of the previous three years
- Nearly 75 percent of customers using Google’s vertically optimised AI tools
- AI-focused customers adopting 1.8 times more Google Cloud products
Gemini Enterprise handled over five billion customer interactions in Q4, growing 65 percent YoY, while partner-built AI solutions saw revenue rise nearly 300 percent YoY.
Big Picture
Google’s record-breaking $400 billion revenue milestone highlights how deeply AI has become embedded across its products, infrastructure, and business strategy. With Gemini at the centre of its ecosystem and massive investments planned for 2026, Google appears firmly positioned for the next phase of the AI-driven tech cycle.
