The Pro model is set to feature a 200MP main camera and 3.5x optical telephoto zoom, alongside gaming-focused display and cooling hardware.
OnePlus has revealed key camera details for the Ace 7 Pro ahead of its scheduled October 29 launch in China.
According to coverage of the company’s announcement, the phone will feature a 200-megapixel main rear camera and a periscope telephoto camera supporting 3.5x optical zoom. OnePlus has also shared promotional photographs demonstrating wide and zoomed-in shots.
The Ace 7 Pro will debut alongside the standard Ace 7. Both models are being promoted with high-refresh-rate BOE displays, dedicated gaming chips and active cooling.
OnePlus Ace 7 Pro Camera Features
The announced combination pairs a high-resolution main camera with a separate telephoto unit.
The 3.5x optical zoom specification concerns the telephoto camera. It should not be confused with a digital magnification setting or interpreted as continuous optical zoom throughout the camera’s entire zoom range.
OnePlus’s sample images offer an early preview of its processing, but they are selected promotional material. Independent testing will be needed to assess autofocus, moving subjects, low-light performance and consistency between cameras.

The reported announcement does not provide a complete camera specification sheet, so buyers should wait for details such as sensor sizes, apertures and stabilisation support.
BOE Displays With Up to 185Hz in Supported Games
The Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro are set to use BOE LTPO AMOLED displays featuring customised X4 luminescent material.
OnePlus is advertising system-wide refresh rates of up to 165Hz, with up to 185Hz available in selected games.
The distinction matters: 185Hz should not be presented as the refresh rate used by every app or game. Actual game frame rates will also depend on software support, graphics settings, temperature and processor load.

Three Dedicated Chips for Gaming Tasks
OnePlus calls its supporting hardware the Esports Tri-Core system.
| Chip | Announced purpose |
|---|---|
| T3 Touch Chip | Improve touch responsiveness |
| G3 Esports Network Chip | Support connection performance and reduce latency |
| P4 Super Display Chip | Improve the presentation of fast-moving visuals |
These chips address different parts of the gaming experience. Their presence alone does not establish a particular frame rate or eliminate network lag.
Connection quality still depends on factors outside the handset, including signal strength, network congestion and game servers.

Active Cooling in the Ace 7 Pro
The Pro model will feature a built-in cooling fan and a dual-channel Glacier Cooling System.
OnePlus claims temperature reductions of 6.8°C in a gaming-and-livestream scenario and 4.9°C during video calls in hot conditions.
Those figures should remain tied to the company’s stated scenarios. They do not establish the temperature difference users will experience in every application or environment.
Sustained performance, fan noise and power consumption will be important areas for independent testing.
Reported RAM and Storage Options
Published coverage lists the following combinations:
| Model | Reported configurations |
|---|---|
| OnePlus Ace 7 | 12GB + 256GB; 16GB + 256GB; 12GB + 512GB; 16GB + 512GB |
| OnePlus Ace 7 Pro | 12GB + 256GB; 16GB + 256GB; 12GB + 512GB; 16GB + 512GB; 16GB + 1TB |
The source material contains conflicting wording about the number of standard-model variants. Buyers should therefore check the final product listing before relying on the complete selection.
The Pro model’s reported 1TB option provides additional storage; it does not by itself imply a faster processor than the other Pro configurations.
Processor, Software and Availability
Pre-launch coverage identifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the Ace 7 Pro and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series chipset for the standard model.
Both phones are set to run ColorOS 17 based on Android 17 and have been teased in three colour options.
The China launch is scheduled for October 29, with pre-orders already reported open. Final prices and sale conditions should be checked against the launch announcement.
No confirmed Indian release date or pricing is established by the information reviewed for this article.
What Buyers Should Watch at Launch
The camera announcement adds detail to a series otherwise centred on gaming performance.
The next useful information will be complete camera specifications, configuration prices and a clear explanation of supported high-refresh-rate games.
For prospective buyers, independent camera samples and sustained gaming tests will provide stronger evidence than promotional images or isolated temperature claims.
